The Landings Club will host over a hundred PGA Tour golfers competing for a substantial purse in the country wide PGA 2018 Tour, of which the Savannah Golf Championship event is a part.  The event will take place at the Deer Creek course from 3/26 – 4/1, and details were given to us at our meeting this past Wednesday morning by Cheyenne Overby, the Assistant Tournament Director for the Tour.
Cheyenne urged us to come out and watch the play – “it doesn’t matter if you don’t play,” she said, “you’ll enjoy watching superb golf.”  And it is all much more than just golf. The activity is family and group friendly, and there are parties and gatherings all along the way.  Club members may have two free tickets and socializing centers on the Deer Creek club.  The golf play will showcase the skills of the players and expose everyone who watches to the beauty of the Landings and its golfing amenities.  Steven Freund, Executive Director of the Landings Club, states that the Club has signed a five year contract to showcase this part of the PGA Tour through 2022. There are opportunities for company sponsorships, pro-am events and hospitality, available to those looking for business.
Our support of this competition helps our local charities.  Cheyenne told us that support in terms of financial donations will be given to: Bethesda Academy, American Legion, First Tee (for children), the 200 Club, the Children’s Choir, Girls on the Run, and more.  Come and watch some of the best golf in the world!  More info at and at the Landings Club.
