It was a pleasure today to welcome as a member into our club Barbara Anne Phillips, who was proposed by Kathie Anderson. Barbara will hold the classification of Retinal Surgeon.
Image Barbara has multiple degrees including a BA in Psychology, MD, an MBA and a Masters in Public Health. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Wilderness Medical Society, the American Society of Retinal Specialist, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a Surveyor of the American Academy of Continuing Medical Education . Barbara is a retired Vitreo Retinal Surgeon. She lives at 17 Captain’s Crossing and has three grown children, Benjamin, Olivia deLacey, and Ian.
Barbara has participated in many medical missions worldwide. Locally, she is a Safe Shelter Volunteer, is a pending Mercer Medical College Volunteer Faculty and is qualifying for NOAA volunteer diver status. Barbara’s hobbies include: scuba diving, music, dancing and beekeeping.

As Kathie Anderson is out of town, Past President Susan Kleine assisted with the presentation by our Membership Chair, Lloyd Wood. She will be out of the country for the next three weeks on a scuba diving adventure. We look forward to her return and integration into club service activities.
