We mentioned last week that the SAFE Shelter building suffered a flood; Toni Marwitz has some news and a plea: SAFE Shelter's residents are temporarily housed in a hotel close to the shelter and shuttled three times a day to the building for their meals. There is an urgent need for paper products (towels, napkins, plates, toilet paper, disposable cups and glasses), diapers of all sizes and toiletries (regular size bottles of shampoo, body lotion and bars of soap.) Rotarians interested in making a monetary donation should bear in mind the club's policy of matching any donation up to $200 for designated charities such as SAFE Shelter. The matching grant application form can be found on this website. For more information please contact Toni Marwitz, President of the SAFE Shelter board.
