We would like to introduce you and welcome our new members Captain U.S. Navy  Todd Lacy and Asia Harold to the Skidaway Island Rotary Club.
Todd Lacy is a native of Richmond, Virginia. He began a 25 year career in the Navy after earning his commission through Naval ROTC at the University of South Carolina (USC) in May 1993. Following initial shore assignments with a squadron in Jacksonville and an overseas base in Edzell, Scotland, he commenced flight training at Pensacola and San Antonio where he earned his “wings of gold” as a Naval Fl ight Officer. In 1997 he reported to a reconnaissance squadron in Whidbey Island, Washington and commanded missions on the EP-3E to the Far-East and Southwest Asia. Following a Fleet Evaluator tour with the P-3 Fleet instructor squadron, he deployed as the lead “Shooter” and Launch and Recovery Division Officer onboard USS JOHN F. KENNEDY for its Arabian Gulf deployment. He then joined the “Old Buzzards” of special projects squadron VPU-1, deploying to hot, sunny and sandy spots around the globe. After a USCENTCOM tour in Tampa and D.C. as the Operation Director’s Liaison Officer to the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, he returned to VPU-1 as the Executive Officer and then Commanding Officer. While in command he completed multiple deployments for a joint task force. During this tour he was assigned as the task group commander for two squadrons, responsible for thousands of flight hours and hundreds of combat missions. His next assignment was as a student at the Naval War College (NWC) and its associated international program, the Naval Command College. Upon graduation he was selected to remain on the NWC staff as a Professor of Strategy and Policy. He reported to Savannah in March 2015 to command the NROTC unit and serve as the Professor of Naval Science at Savannah State University and cross-town affiliate Georgia Southern University - Armstrong.

Todd retired from the Navy as a Captain in early 2018, settling permanently in the Savannah area with his wife and seven children. Because of his passion for investing and helping others to plan for their financial future, he joined Edward Jones as an advisor with his office on Skidaway Island. He thoroughly enjoys serving his clients and the community through the growth of a financial services practice. He is active in the community as a coach for local baseball and soccer teams, a Director on the Savannah Navy League Board, and the Savannah Logistics Chair for the National Cancer Society Strides for Life.

Todd studied at USC (B.S., Business Administration, 1993), Jacksonville University (M.B.A., 2002) and NWC (M.A., National Security and Strategic Studies, 2012). He holds a license as a General Securities Representative and had a Navy subspecialty in Financial Management. His personal awards include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, and the Ambassador of the United Kingdom Award for Public Affairs Excellence.

Asia Harold was born in Mount Airy, NC and loved every moment of her childhood in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. While Asia’s past service endeavors are few, her passion for making her community a better place is deep rooted and began to blossom while attending Salem College in North Carolina. While there she studied Non-Profit Management. Soon after college, Asia found her way to Thrive Senior Living and fell in love with their entrepreneurial design and focus on person-centered care. She made the move to Savannah, GA in July of this year and couldn’t be happier with the decision! In her free time Asia enjoys basket weaving, kayaking, and baking- though opening Thrive’s new senior living community is where most of her time is spent  these days.

Please welcome these members to our club
